There are certain risk factors affecting the human cardiovascular system, these can be prevented if certain cautions are taken. For example these factors can be controlled or changed:

  • smoking
  • eating unhealthy foods
  • lack of sports
  • high alcohol intake

Factors like:

  • high blood pressure
  • cholesterol
  • diabetes
  • overweight/obesity

can be treated.

However factors like

  • aging
  • sex
  • stress
  • family records

can not be treated but regular checks can limit complications.
